Try an Edible Chocolate Plant Pot Cake at Golden Spoon Café

Up on the top floor in the Food Court of the Buchanan Galleries in Glasgow, you will find the family-run Golden Spoon Café. They specialise in French patisserie, tarts, and cupcakes but also offer some savoury food and drinks.

The Golden Spoon Café's cakes are true works of art, beautifully designed to capture your attention and imagination. During my visit, I was particularly drawn to their chocolate plant pot cakes. These little creations look like real plant pots but are entirely edible! They come in various colors and fillings, adding a fun twist to traditional desserts.

I chose a pink-colored white chocolate plant pot filled with a blueberry muffin. Not only was it visually stunning, but the taste was delicious. The chocolate pots are well-tempered and don't melt in your hands.Although I did eat mine with a spoon!

The café's itself is just a little bakery stand but they have a good handful of chairs, around 20 seats. The cherry blossom decorations add a touch of elegance and provide a perfect backdrop for photos. Whether you're looking to relax with a cup of coffee or take some Instagram-worthy shots, the Golden Spoon Café has you covered.

Founded by Karmen Matsakova 18 years ago in Wishaw, the Golden Spoon Café continues to uphold its tradition of quality and creativity.

If you find yourself in Glasgow and are looking for a delightful and unique cake experience, the Golden Spoon Café is a must-visit. The innovative and beautifully designed cakes along with the chance to rest in the centre of Glasgow make it the perfect place to take a break.
