A Sweet Day Trip: Baked Linlithgow

During a day trip with my partner, we stumbled upon a cute little bakery in Linlithgow that we simply couldn’t resist. Baked Linlithgow, located on the bustling High Street, drew us in with its beautiful cake displays and inviting atmosphere.

Although I hadn’t planned on indulging in any sweets that day, I can never say no to a good cake, especially when they look as tempting as the ones at Baked. The moment I saw the cakes in the window, I knew I had to step inside. The bakery was already buzzing with customers, a testament to its popularity.

Inside, Baked offers a delightful array of treats for takeaway. From cupcakes and cookies to empire biscuits, each item looked beautifully presented. Being a huge fan of Percy Pig, I couldn’t resist picking up one of their adorable Percy Pig cupcakes.

The shop itself is gorgeous, with sunlight streaming through the windows, illuminating the carefully arranged cakes. It’s clear that a lot of thought and care goes into the presentation of each baked good.

On the Baked Facebook page, there is a little information about the owner and the shop. Sophie, the 28-year-old owner of Bake and she has lived in Linlithgow her entire life. She opened the bakery nearly a year ago, fulfilling a lifelong dream. Baked has already won a Regional Bronze Award for their Iced Gingerbread at the Scottish Baker of the Year Awards.

If you find yourself in Linlithgow, Baked is a must-visit for any cake lover. The combination of charming atmosphere, beautifully presented cakes, and the warmth of a local business makes it a delightful stop.
